![]() ![]() Since when did writing out a New England dialect become a thing? an entire section of this book is dedicated to dialogue between characters that supposedly have an accent/dialect, but instead of addressing it once and moving on, the author makes a show of it by making the content unreadable and downright absurd by changing the words and certain letters. The prose is generic, and the main character is very much unlikable and bland (even though she was saddled with this supposedly interesting back story, I won't spoil much of it) this book is trash." and I am being overly nice about it by using this description. ![]() So I started this book off with high expectations, and right around page ten, I realized, "Oh. I came upon the book quite accidentally, and since I knew there was going to be an adaptation of it with Jodie Commer, I was kinda excited, ngl. The book "Big Swiss" by Jen Beagin, was leaked a few days ago online. ![]()
